- The mission of the company ALBUPAD is to develop innovative drug delivery systems to optimize the treatment of chronic diseases and cancer while ensuring optimal integration of treatments into patients' daily lives. These tools consist of drug delivery systems harnessing the unique properties of native albumin formulated into a highly stable material. Our technology is based on a non-denaturing process that allows the stabilization of protein without chemical crosslinking agents or high heat.

Our breakthrough technology is based on a non-denaturing process that allows the stabilization of protein into water-insoluble materials without using high temperatures or chemical crosslinking agents. Therefore, by protecting the native structure of albumin, our technology preserves its unique drug-carrier properties. These materials surpass current drug delivery systems relying on synthetic polymers by offering enhanced biocompatibility, improved control over sustained release kinetics through the elimination of the initial burst effect, and compatibility with a broader range of active pharmaceutical ingredients.
Our team brings together the co-inventors of the technology, who have been collaborating for 6 years on its development and valorisation. Our expertise covers all stages of preclinical development of drug delivery devices. Additionally, we have a strong expertise related to our technology. Through the creation of the company, we aim to take the next step in technology development and collaborate with players in the pharmaceutical industry to bring innovative products to the patient's bedside.
